Where to Drink: Brew & Vine

Brew & Vine Definition

San Francisco boasts a profusion of world-renowned watering holes including breweries, wine bars, and utterly unique speakeasies featuring music and comedy. We've listed some of our favorites to the left, but that hardly scratches the surface of all that's available.

You don't need to stay in the City, either. Come forty miles north to CrossCheck's territory and you can visit world class wineries in the Valley of the Moon. Or if you want something more famous (but less cool), you could drive 50 miles northeast to our friends in Napa Valley.

Cheers!

Trick Dog

trick_dog_san_francisco

Trick Dog on Yelp

Trick Dog was honored as #33 on the world's best bars list and is "fast becoming one of San Francisco's landmarks."

The music is a big part of the picture here, with Motown, soul and mid-century American rock keeping toes tapping. But that’s not to say this bar only looks backwards to old times, old tunes and old trinkets. It has a contemporary high-energy mood, with dishes from executive head chef Michael Logan designed to work with the cocktails his food shares mouths with. The beer and wine menu has been thoroughly thought through and the cocktail menu changes twice a year, taking on a new concept each time.

If that's not enough to convince you, it's been called the "beer bar mecca ... One that maintains old school classic dive bar roots, but serves up amazing brews for next to nothing."
