From crooked streets, incredible views, ancient trees and enormous parks to golfing on world-class courses - the City has something for every outdoor enthusiast.
Golden Gate Park is only 3.5 miles from the Moscone Center, an easy cab ride or you can take the #5 bus from Powell Street if you have enough time. Our favorite photogenic destinations include the Japanese Tea Garden, the Conservatory of Flowers, the Bison Paddock and the Chain of Lakes.
And there's nothing quite like seeing the Golden Gate Bridge up close and underneath. Take a cab to Crissy Field and walk towards the bridge on the San Francisco Bay Trail -- you'll take a hundred photos and end up telling everyone that none of them begin to capture the incredible views!
You're truly going to enjoy that brisk San Francisco air!

Once home to famous criminals Al Capone, George "Machine Gun" Kelly, and Alvin Karpis, Alcatraz Island ("The Rock") is a historical and former U.S. military prison from the 1850s to 1933. Although the prison was officially closed in 1963, the island was "occupied for almost two years by a group of Native-American activists" and remains a popular tourist destination each year. Public tours are available via a short ferry ride from Pier 33 and is highly recommended you reserve your tour ticket in advance.
